How We Help
Rez Animal Protectors is a small team doing as much as possible with the resources available. Services may vary depending on space and funding, but this is how they work to protect rez animals.
Animal Rescue & Intake
- Responds to messages and calls about stray, abandoned, injured, or at risk animals in the area. When possible
- Safely picks up animals from dangerous or unhealthy situations
- Provides food, water, and short term shelter
- Checks for possible owners or familiar locations
- Moves animals into foster care or temporary safe holding while next steps are planned
Vet Care & Recovery
- As donations and partnerships allow, support may include Basic exams and vaccinations
- Spay and neuter services
- Treatment for injuries and illness
- Medications, dewormer, flea and tick support
- The goal is to reduce suffering and give each animal a real chance to heal.
Transport & Placement
- Many rez animals find safety and family through trusted partners and adopters
- Works with established rescues that understand rez animals
- Arranges safe transport when space is confirmed
- Shares animals through outreach so they can be seen by committed homes
Community Support
- Recognizing that many people love their animals but lack access to supplies or services, Rez Animal Protectors
- Shares donated food and basic supplies when available
- Encourages spay and neuter to prevent unwanted litters
- Offers simple guidance and support for responsible, kind care
